It Started as a Whisper

When I first came to Hawai'i in 2007, my intentions were to come to heal myself after a relationship ending and to learn how to grow food. My how those intentions would lead me down quite an amazing path, that I had no idea at the time would bring me to such heights. In the early days , still in my twenties, I volunteered my time , didn't get paid at all, had a side job to afford the basics, but the aina (land) was my deepest love. It absolutely truly has healed me every time I get my hands dirty, breathe in the microbes of the soil and wipe the sweat and tears off my face.

I ended up meeting a new love and four years went by. I became pregnant and landed on a 64 acre turnkey farm. The land owner built a certified organic farm from ground up and had hired a young man to manage everything. The farmer decided to move his family to another island and I literally walked right into my dream of caretaking a piece of land on the Hamakua Coast. I learned so much for those years on that hill- from being a new mother to guiding new volunteers on how to farm Korean Natural farming and French Intensive styles of gardening and farming. It wasn't without its own lessons however, those volunteer kids figuring out that there were magic mushrooms on the cow patties and not showing up to work the next morning when we had to harvest 300 plus pounds of carrots from the earth, with a newborn on my back. These were amazing years notheless, my husband and I separated when my son was three years old. I found myself back on the original farm I first landed in 2007, now a single mother.

It was there that the dreams began. First it was little glimpses of a village that looked something right out of Star Wars on the forest moon of Edor- Treehouses connected by bridges and little round hobbit houses sprinkled in the banana trees, pathways winding up and around to get a peek of a waterfall and a swimhole.

Over the years the dreams began to get more detailed- certain people showing up, going about their daily life, carrying a basket of fresh colorful vegetables-smiling shining faces.

I am a earth creature who has partaken in all kinds of journeying- fasting, plant medicine, juice cleanses, and Kundalini yoga meditation. My dream time is very vivid and I am a lucid powerful dreamer. I began to get very clear messages about the Earth changing rapidly- social systems on the verge of collapse- the US dollar on the verge of collapse-, the grid, the trade routes, the commerce all coming to a halt- all on its way. The mission became louder and louder until it was to the point I couldn't ignore the voice inside my soul any longer.

My mission , my Seva, my sacred service to humanity and the earth is to create an eco village that focuses on healing, the arts and the celebration of life. This has been the most intense set of instructions I have received through the Akashic field, meditation and medicine journeys.

So thus the Sanctuary for Creative Visions was born. Out of quiet whispers at first, to straight loud and clear instructions just as Noah had to build the Arc. Obviously I questioned my sanity or ability to create such things myself, I've never had huge assets as far as monetary terms go.

I had the pleasure of learning from Alex Grey and his wife Allyson in 2023, during a week long Visionary Art Intensive held on his land in upstate New York. I was immensely intrigued and inspired by what they had created on this most beautiful land, and I knew then that I had to create the eco village for the whole world to have access to.

So as this is my first blog writing about the Sanctuary, I will continually write about my journey, feet on the ground, heart wide open and third eye activated as I and my fellow earth tribe members co-create a very special and precious place to find healing, inspiration, family support, learning how to live in harmony with the earth and its creatures.

So stay tuned, grab your popcorn, your matcha and watch me get busy!
